Stone
Cottage sleeps up to 4 people and is available to rent
from May until the end of October.
The Stone
Cottage is a unique building. Carefully restored to
preserve its original features, the interior boasts
authentic cypress beams
and wooden flooring. The cottage is set in a tranquil
and private location in an unspoiled valley with views
stretching down to the sea at Cape Dafnoudi. Wonderful
sunsets can be enjoyed from the terraces which surround
the building.
The Stone
Cottage provides an ideal holiday setting for those who
appreciate rustic charm and an off the tourist track
location. However, the picturesque port of Fiscardo with
its plethora of quayside restaurants and cafes is only a
ten-minute drive away. The village of Manganos, is a
five-minute walk away and has a village store and local
taverna. The nearest beach, Alaties, is a five-minute
drive away
The
cottage has two floors; with an open plan kitchen and
living room on the ground floor, which was originally
the stable. The area was enlarged during renovation by
carving the living room section out of rock, which makes
an interesting feature, and keeps the house cool during
the hot summer months. A spiral staircase leads upstairs
to a spacious, light landing with high ceilings of
cypress beams.
Two large
bedrooms
lead off
the landing; one bedroom has its own private terrace with
views over the hamlet of Agrilias towards the Assos
peninsular and the other has sea views down the valley
towards Cape Dafnoudi.
The
kitchen is fully equipped and includes electric kettle,
toaster, full cooker and dishwasher. There is also a CD
player for those who wish to bring their own music.
The
property comprises: Ground floor: Open plan kitchen / dining room
with offset sitting area. Upstairs: Landing Double bedroom Twin bedroom
Shower / W.C Garden: The cottage is set in a garden of around
a quarter of an acre with some mature trees including
walnut, orange, lemon and olive trees.
